The Cento 1 is built up with Campy Super Record 11. I don't have a bike box that will fit the integrated seatpost, so the "Opus" bike will have to do.
The Le Roi is boxed and ready to go.

If this climb weren’t in the middle of the Pacific Ocean 2500 miles from nearest land, it could perhaps be the most popular bicycle climb in the world. The fully paved climb to the summit gains just over 10,000 feet from sea level in less than 38 miles. At the summit, you are only 6 miles, as the crow flies, from the ocean. No where else in the world can you be this close to the sea at this elevation.
Good thing the Opus bike is 15.3 pounds. Will I need more than 39-25?

You finally get to use the bike box yourself?
You're in deep doo doo if you only have a 39-25. Half way up, your going to wish you had a 27. If the pitch kicks at all, your going to wish you had compact cranks.
In any case, have fun, and don't clip out, even if it means weaving back and forth.

You'll wish you had a triple (as granny as that sounds). last 200 yards the climb like 18%. middle part has a good long stretch of 9%
order some new bearings now because you're going to burn yours up on the 36mi decent.
its an amazing climb and the views get you through the whole thing. (watch out for the beach cruisers coming down)

Sickboy, Comon Sense prevailed and I enjoyed my 5 rides in Maui. None of which inlcuded that climb.
