Technology Refresh for 2007

Well the decision was made to do a complete tech refresh of the bikes in Donimator's stable. (minus the tandem, the cross, the duece, and the track bike)

Here is what will be arriving shortly:

I am getting rid of the Cannondale 1FG and going for the 69er, it should be interesting trying a bike with a 26" wheel in the rear and 29" in the front. Most of this bike's life will be spent at Elk River getting ready for Chequamegon. If it's anything like last year, Hanna will have it the 6 weeks before Chequamegon, since he doesn't own a mountain bike.

I am getting rid of the Equinox 11 TT bike and getting the new TTX. The new model is stiffer, and the stiffer the better. I will use this early season in some triathlons to get fitness. Highlight of 2006 tri season was having the fastest overall swim split in the White Bear Lake Freedom Triathlon July 4th and winning This Race

In 2006 I raced on a 5.9 Madone. The highlight of the season was giving Hanna the sweet leadout for the victory at Shell Lake. (see victory picture below)

Last year I had the Specialized S Works Hardtail. I figured this year I would try a full suspension for something different, plus I heard the new XTR is better in '07.

Above is Hannna showing off his trophy after the Donimator leadout.

As far as the rest of the Mikey interview....We will start off 2007 with some fun.

Worlds Largest Buffalo

I am spending Christmas in the town of the worlds largest buffalo. Had a headwind in the Hummer on the way back and was still able to get 7.3 MPG.

Statue Stats:Location: Jamestown, North Dakota
Height: 26 feet
Length: 46 feet
Weight: 60 tons
Construction Materials: steel beams, wire mesh, stucco, and cement
Special Designation: World's Largest Buffalo
Year Built: 1959
Admission: Free

Welcome to the World's Largest Buffalo...Erected in 1959, the Jamestown Buffalo was the first true giant roadside sculpture built in North Dakota. It measures in at 46 feet long, 26 feet in height, and a hefty 60 tons - making it the official World's Largest Buffalo. Known nationwide, every year thousands of I-94 motorists stop to visit this most famous buffalo - taking home fond memories and a one-of-a-kind photo opportunity.
The World's Largest Buffalo was the brainchild of then Jamestown Chamber President Harold Newman and was created by Jamestown College art instructor Elmer Paul Peterson. It was fabricated out of 8 inch steel beaming, 3/8 inch reinforcing rod, 1/4 inch wire mesh, and gunnite (sprayed cement). The original cost estimate to build the beast was $4600 but the actual cost was more like $8500 when completed. The buffalo was officially dedicated by Presidential Candidate Nelson Rockefeller in October of 1959.

Fox News....

State Championship Madison Podium

Tuesday, December 19, 2006

This guy thinks he is the Fox News of Minnesota Blogging and this guy thinks he is the CNN of Minnesota Blogging, but neither of these two stations will air the exclusive Mikey interview, why becuase they are too busy whinning about the MCF or saying that Donimator is a "pretend bike racer" Closed Circuit to Super Rookie: See This Postand take notes if you can't keep up.

Below is a little teaser of the 20 minute interview:

Scratch Racing 101

The following is a clinic on how to race a 10 lap scratch race. Think it aint?

Stay tuned for an exclusive interview you won't find on CNN or FOX....More to Come

Not a Garage Queen

Obviously not Cullen driving this time. I needed new tires anyway.

3 MPG

Mikey, If I drive this to your Party , you better have a phat wallet!

Tuesday, December 12, 2006

Need a rest during a match sprint.....

Just lean against the wall and take a rest. I still think if you lean against the wall in lap one, it should be the same as lap 2 or 3.

Sunday, December 10, 2006

Cullen does 113mph in CTS-V and 100+ mph in Viper!

Cullen's Party Recap

Donimators's Party Recap (see below)

Having Loon State pay the most MCF surcharges in 2006 was cool, but.....

Traction Control engaged at 98 MPH....Priceless
Traction Control engaged at 2:19AM....Takes Balls considering the frost and current temp

I just might quit my day job...this is fun!

Breaking the 100mph mark in the Viper...Sweet

Going 113mph in the V even sweeter! Just think what the speed could have been if Cullen wasn't spinning the tires at 98 mph just moments before....
I guess to sum it up, this is how Loon State Rolls.

USCF Racer 193347

USCF Racer 193347 was spotted at the Wild Game tonight. I was entertaining clients so we had a quick conversation in passing. Wild won in a shootout. That is about the only thing I watched as I had to make sure all 40 people (business partners and customers) were happy.

So business partner E needed three tickets for the game, one for himself and two for his clients. He showed up at Alery's Bar to pick up his tickets and see some of This and That. So Donimator shows up at the game after all tickets were distributed and says who in the hell are those two yahoos in the middle of my group? Two Punks were in the middle of my group. Apparently, business partner E scalped two tickets on the street, pocketed 150 bucks and went to the game. I have one word....Bush League!

56 Media Blasted...what did we discover?

Well we took her down to the bare metal and discovered some interesting things. I have had the car since 1986 and there has been no body work done in the last 20 years, but there was some done we are guessing in the 70's. The issue is in the 70s they brazed the metal together. Apparently, painting over brazing may not be so reliable (i.e. might last a year or 10), so we are going to replace every panel that had brazing done. Estimated cost to do the bodywork to get it ready to paint $7,000 to $10,000.
The above picture is the front right headlight. The gold things are the brazing.
This is a picture from underneath the car. This bracket connects the body to the frame, obviously we will be replacing these as well as the whole floor pan.
We decided to media blast the frame as well
These pictures (above and below) show exactly what the car looked like after it was media blasted week of Thanksgiving. It is interested how you can tell a history of a car when you strip it to the bare metal.

2 weeks off...Did anyone really care?

So I took a couple of weeks off, but why?....

Maybe I was depressed the democrats took control of congress...
Mikey was bored with it anyways... since when do I give a shit what he thinks.
Maybe I was busy planning the upcoming Loon State Party...
Maybe I just couldn't get over the Hawks losing...

Actually Company M had Employee D bogged down in Revenue Recognition Red Tape.
Especially dealing with VSOE

Monson is gone, Nascar is over, Tainter quit Loon State, Romo has the Cowboys on a roll

Kinnick North

Iowa fans refer to the metrodome as Kinnick North. In a show of my support of the great season the Gophers had, I think I will wear my IOWA gear to the game on Saturday. Super Rookie will I see you there?

Wednesday, November 15, 2006

Another one for Skibby...Golf anyone?

Monday, November 13, 2006

Super Rookie...where were you?

Closed Circuit to Super Rookie, I was at the Gopher vs. NDSU game tonight and didn't see you. Or do you only go to Football games? I have season tickets to the BB games, they are much more entertaining than the Timberwolves. I went to the Wolves game on Friday night and it was a yawner....kinda like Mikey's Boring Ass Blog

It has started bitches...just read here It's Started, Think it Ain't

The Steps I don't follow when I am buying a car

Compensation committee meets tomorrow to decide whether or not Employee D will be able to afford entry fees to races next year.

The '56 is in about 56 pieces, probably have time to get some pictures next week, decided to make the bottom of the car look nice too...

Saturday, November 11, 2006

Not about Cars, what's the big deal?

Employee D works real hard and closes biggest deal in Company history...over 15 million. Company X is really happy, all the execs get big bonus because of this transaction, but company X says they might not want to pay all of the scratch owed Employee D, as there is a clause in contract that is called the big deal clause. This big deal clause basically says, if you close a big deal, then pay will be decided on by the compensation committee.

Is it Employee D's problem that accounting didn't accrue for this?

Tuesday, November 07, 2006

Just for you Skibby...

Skibby, you asked and you shall get! I suppose Mikey thinks this is boring too...

2 Million dollar wheels

ante up!

Sunday, November 05, 2006

Iced out, 32s, Ice T, slammed H2, and Pretty in Pink from SEMA

This SL600 was loaded with Diamonds, Lexani Wheels introduced a 32 inch rim... Ice T and Will from Unique Whips were in the house... The lowest Hummer I have ever seen was on display, along with one bad pink H2, with a couple of models that would make Skibby proud. I think Stoker should by Strats the pink Hummer....

Oh yah, there were a set of wheels there for $2,000,000. Last year they had a set for a cool $1,000,000 and they sold six sets. The deal is, buy the wheels and get a free Bentley Continental GT.

Sorry Mikey, another boring post.

56 off to be media blasted today...

Repulican or Democrat?

Sighted in Andover...Off to the SEMA autoshow in Vegas....

What a difference a day makes....

Project '56

Well my 1956 chevy made the drive from North Dakota to Minnesota. This was my High School ride. It went into Automotive Concepts yesterday for what we are estimating to be a 6 month project. Stay tuned for updates on the transformation. Still haven't decided on what color to paint it, but thinking black / silver/ black three toned... Going to the SEMA autoshow in Vegas next week to get some ideas.

Rider Y text message 10.19.06 5:15 PM

Rider Y: "fucking a. "

so what does that mean? Check out Urban Dictionary and decide for yourself

Rider Y Text Message 10.19.06

"Give me my money! Or blog about text messages, whatever you like."

Rider Y, wow an ultimatum. You have really put the pressure on us. I think we will chose the blog about text messages option as that will be the most financially responsible solution for Stoker.

20 Bucks to the person who gives up Racer X's Identity

And just ask Little D, I pay! I am getting bored with posting about my liberal conscious

So I get a text message from Rider Y

"Check your post yesterday on your blog. Also lost Hanna's number. Wanna send it again? pretty please...."

So I send him Stoker's number again...

"Dude, that's your number"

No rider Y, that's Stokers Number! Stoker just hired me as his agent, so all financial matters must come through me. So have your people call me, and we can discuss what you want to discuss.

Skibby....WTF? you are letting Top 500 at Chequamegon post on your blog? That is suppose to be sacred ground. What's next Donimator is going to let Racer X post in my sandbox? I think he ain't.

Don't you wish he still was the Vikings coach?

Here is the view from my company's suite at the CU stadium. Pretty cool with the mountains. Boulder is a very liberal town...Strats, you would love it.

Everything you need to know about Grumpy's team...everything you need to know about Loon Sate in '06

Hey SOHO...thanks for calling me to go riding Sunday...NOT....what you only call me becuase you want Stoker's number, so you can get your Madison Cash? Closed Circuit to Stoker: Never pay Mikey!

Maybe I brought some good luck to Colorado Saturday (first win in 343days)....Maybe I should of went to Madison instead?

What is going to happen when the Gophers have to play North Dakota State? NDSU is 6-0 this year. Heck, they beat the ranked Badgers in Basketball last winter.

THE SERIES: This is the sixth meeting between North Dakota State and the University of Minnesota in a series that dates back to the 1898 season ... The Gophers have won all six meetings including a 69-7 win in 1937 ... NDSU has played 13 games against Big Ten teams during its history and has posted an 0-13 record ...

170 bpm for 2 hours and 30 minutes at Chequamegon...actually had to work a little up North.

Captain Midnight: Dude sorry to hear about Nats, maybe we should move some of the funds from the Sickboy Super-rookie race to the Captain Midnight "tires that stick fund?"

2 Twins games, 2 L's...CU versus Texas Tech

Tori.......Why did you try to make a sportscenter play of the day when there was two out and only a runner on first?

"We were tied up and then something like that happened. You can't do anything about it. You just sit there and think, 'Man, I feel less than a man right now.' "
-- Torii Hunter

I attended both Twins games the last two days....The Twins just don't feel like winning.

Next Sporting event for Donimator: Colorado versus Texas Tech October 14th. Yep you guessed it, need to do a little client entertaining. I will try not to get into a rumbles. I have a hunch it won't be as exciting as the Iowa OSU game.

Happy Hour Brawl, Iowa Loses

Thursday night I hosted a customer appreciation Happy Hour for one of my largest clients at a local establishment in St. Louis Park. Things were going smoothly until one of my clients went out for a smoke and came back all bloody. Someone attacked him outside. So I went outside and look around the parking lot, didn't see anything. I came back and someone yelled "that's him" so I chased him through the kitchen up the back stairs and then outside the bar. When I stepped outside the bar, he charged at me with fist cocked ready to fight. So it took all of about 5 seconds for me to through his ass down into the flower bed. I told him you fuck with my customer, you fuck with me. So I held him on the ground until the cops came. Actually seven cop cars showed up. It was quite the scene.

Happy Hour Tab = $1497.00

Iowa got their butts kicked by the number one team in the country. With a 7:00 PM start it was quite the tailgate party. ESPN Game Day was there live for the pre grame festivities. The Hummer didn't get keyed this year!

Hummer Hybrid...Then what?

Despite having several different hydrogen-burning motors and fuel systems in its arsenal, General Motors took the opportunity to develop a new, more practical hydrogen drivetrain for the H2H. As opposed to conventional fuel cell vehicles, like the Ballard-powered Mercedes A-Class that runs off of a chemical reaction between hydrogen and oxygen to provide power, the H2H burns its hydrogen much like a regular car burns gasoline or diesel. Much like the Ford H2 ICE (internal combustion engine) or BMW Clean-Fuel hydrogen-powered concepts, this hummer features hydrogen injected directly into its engines cylinder combustion chambers.
Unlike traditional fuel-cell technology, injecting liquid hydrogen into an internal combustion environment produces less than optimal power. Even with the assistance of a supercharger, the GM-designed Vortec 6000 6.0-liter V8 produces a meager 180 horsepower when run on hydrogen, only a fraction of the 316 horsepower produced by the SUVs regular gasoline-swilling powerplant. In any respect, the hydrogen-powered H2H has a hands-down advantage over the regular H2, with the only tailpipe emissions emitted being water vapor.

Oil drops below US$60 a barrel as supply concerns ease

Oil prices have fallen since the beginning of the month on the lack of developments in the standoff between the United Nations and Iran, who defied the U.N.'s Aug. 31 deadline to stop enriching uranium that could be used to produce nuclear weapons.

The high prices in July and August were largely fueled by concern over the possibility that Iran could disrupt oil supply if sanctions were imposed or if the monthlong conflict between Lebanon and Israel escalated.

Stoker is in Europe, Captain is going to Iowa!

Here is where I will be this weekend. Iowa versus Ohio State. #1 versus #13. This is the old stadium, they just did a 90 million dollar renovation to the joint. It's definitely a good party. Two years ago my first Hummer was keyed in Iowa to the tune of $4000.oo damage...damn tree huggers. So I am driving the 2nd Hummer down there this year...think I ain't?

This is the stadium after the renovation. Minnesota needs a new stadium. Going to a game in Iowa makes a Vikings game seem like a high school game and a Gopher game seem like a junior varsity game.
