Today was the last day for boating on the river. The marina needs to start winterizing and putting them away for the winter. So I spent the day on the river burning a boat load of gas.... It was a beautiful day out there. I looked for Dave Gray, but couldn't find him....not even sure if he owns a boat.
Started swimming again, going to hit some masters swim meets this winter

Consumption

The United States consumes by far the most energy of any country in the world: on average 20,000,000 barrels of oil a day. Although the US accounts for only 5.5% of the worlds population, 20,000,000 barrels represents 26% of the world's total oil production (a quarter of the world's carbon emissions). Domestic oil production is roughly 5 million barrels of oil per day which means that a net import of 15 million barrels of oil per day are necessary to fuel our energy dependant economy.

Paper Savin', Tree Huggin', bleeding heart liberals..
Grand Oil Party?
I am all for people's freedom of political views, but when someone feels the need to stick a sticker on Donimator's Hummer...be prepared to suffer the consequences...
So I ask...Are the oil companies profits too much? Here is a quote from a Business week article:
This is more an image thing than a substance thing," says one industry lobbyist. Indeed, an internal ExxonMobil document obtained by BusinessWeek argues that the company's profits are reasonable -- far more so than the financial industry; that prices are driven by supply and demand; and that Congress should "pause" before doing anything
dramatic.
You need to ask yourself...What truly is the root cause of the problem? It is way deeper than Elephants versus Donkeys...So should all bike shop owners, not try to make a bigger profit next year than they did this year? We live in a free country with freedom of speech and I searched the constitution up and down and sideways and didn't see anywhere that it said freedom to fuck with Donimator's Hummer.
Sorry Smithers...Had to go political today.

Found the podium, just not the top.... 363 Days
We improved 83 places overall from last year and beat the team that won last year. They were third. It was a solid performance and we were happy to break the top 100 for the first time. But we are not satisfied with second. So maybe the fifth year will be a charm. So we are starting our 363 day training plan TODAY!
Little D and Donimator finally met...Little D recieved his 20 bucks and enjoyed a beverage...
Sickboy wasn't able to beat the 450 lb tandem team, I am sure he is very depressed and has lots of excuses.
Blogger.Com is having problems with pictures right now....stay tuned for some pics.
